I have a Hayward super pump every once in awhile when I go to unplug to backwash it sparks and trips the breaker. the tubes are sealed at the end by the two seal plates. If the blower prover switch opens during the postpurge cycle (heater is not firing) the control will display the error code. I turned off my pool at the control box for 24 hours as I needed a union replaced at the salt cell. Ran it for two hours, then shut it down to move valve to backwash.
